About Villa Valesta & The Experience

Villa Valesta was born from a very personal desire: traveling as a multi-generational family in a place where everyone can enjoy their own rhythm during the day, while coming together in the evening around the same table. We dreamed of a large private property where children could surf, parents could play pickleball, grandparents could read by the sea, and everyone could share a meal prepared by a private cook.

We wanted the feeling of a private hotel with services, without crowds, without waiting lines, and without shared spaces. When we couldn’t find this type of experience, we decided to create it ourselves by acquiring this exceptional villa near Cabarete, located in a gated and secure community. Villa Valesta is the result of that vision.

Villa Valesta is a fully private villa reserved exclusively for your group. You never share the property, pool, staff, or amenities with other guests. Everything is designed for privacy, flexibility, and comfort.

Villa Valesta is ideal for multi-generational families, groups of friends, pickleball and surf enthusiasts, wellness-oriented travelers, corporate retreats, and yoga retreats.

If you value privacy, flexibility, space, and services over traditional resort experiences, Villa Valesta is designed for you.

You will be welcomed at the airport by one of our private drivers. If you arrive at Puerto Plata International Airport, the transfer to the villa takes approximately 20 minutes.

Yes, but children remain under the supervision and responsibility of their parents at all times, particularly around the pool and ocean.

As with all Caribbean destinations, hurricanes are possible. However, the north coast of the Dominican Republic is statistically less affected due to the central mountain range.

Small private gatherings may be approved in advance. Large parties and events are not permitted.

Lifestyle, Activities, Beaches & Pickleball

Villa Valesta is uniquely positioned for pickleball enthusiasts. A dedicated pickleball center with four courts is located just next to the villa, and we are able to reserve court time for our guests. Combined with your private driver, this creates an ideal balance between relaxation and sport.

Most pickleball travel experiences today are offered through all-inclusive resorts. Villa Valesta offers a clear alternative: a private villa, flexible schedules, personalized services, and no crowds.

Yes. Villa Valesta was designed with active travelers in mind. Guests can enjoy long walks or runs along the coastal trail, clay tennis courts nearby, a new pickleball and padel center, horseback riding on the beach, a yoga platform steps away, world-class surfing at Encuentro Beach, kitesurfing in Cabarete, and beach volleyball at Playa Alicia.

Absolutely. The wide variety of sports and outdoor activities makes Villa Valesta ideal for families with active teenagers, groups of friends, and travelers who enjoy staying active while on vacation.

Yes. Villa Valesta has hosted pickleball stays, wellness retreats, and sport-oriented group experiences. All retreats must be approved in advance and comply with house rules and occupancy limits.

The north coast of the Dominican Republic is not affected by sargassum seaweed, which is a major advantage of our location.

However, it is important to understand that the ocean directly in front of Villa Valesta is not suitable for swimming. This stretch of coastline is exposed, with strong waves and currents, and is not recommended for bathing.

To the east, Perla Marina Beach may be swimmable depending on sea conditions, but it is generally better suited for experienced swimmers and should always be approached with caution.

To the west of the villa, there are several beautiful wild beaches where swimming is possible, but waves can still be strong. These beaches should be enjoyed carefully and are better suited for confident swimmers.

For calm and safe swimming, we recommend nearby bays such as Sosúa Bay and certain areas of Cabarete, with Playa Sosúa being particularly well adapted for relaxed swimming, families, and children.

Your concierge will always be happy to recommend the best beaches based on current sea conditions and your group’s needs.

Services, Staff & Daily Comfort

Your concierge is the conductor of your stay. They coordinate everything between you, the villa staff, and trusted local partners. Your concierge can recommend restaurants, organize massages at the villa, book pickleball courts, arrange a private bartender, charter a catamaran, organize excursions, or send a technician if needed.

Your concierge is always just a message or phone call away to ensure your stay is seamless and memorable.

Two dedicated staff members take care of daily housekeeping, bed making, cleaning of common areas, and ensuring that nothing is missing in the house. They usually come every day, but their schedule can be adjusted based on your preferences, such as service every 48 hours for increased privacy.

Pool and garden maintenance staff visit every three to four days to keep outdoor areas pristine. Gratuities are not mandatory but are always appreciated at the end of your stay.

The cook is included in the price whether you choose to use the service or not. This is not a Michelin-star chef, but a skilled and reliable local cook who consistently satisfies our guests.

Menus are discussed directly with the cook. WhatsApp translation tools work well, as the staff primarily speaks Spanish. The cook will shop for groceries on your behalf, and food and beverages are billed separately.

Grocery costs are generally similar to North America, often 10–15% lower. Local products such as seafood, lobster, chicken, rice, and tropical fruits are excellent. Red meat quality is more average, as in most Caribbean destinations.

Your private driver is typically available from 8:00 AM to approximately 8:00 PM. You may contact them at any time by text message. Whether staying nearby or running errands, the driver always gives priority to your transportation needs.

The driver can also suggest restaurants and activities. The service is included in the price whether you use it extensively or occasionally.
